The purpose of the 7U Development Team is to condition our younger athletes to ensure that we have a strong pipeline of potential candidates for the 2025 8U Travel Team. This program is intended for a select handful of 12-13 players that play in the 7U age group in house league that have the physical ability and mental capacity to play and understand the game of baseball at a higher level. As in prior years this team of players will play in the 9U age group at the house league level. This is not a traveling team, and all games will be in Halton Hills.
The objective of the 7U Development Team is that the work and practice undertaken in the 2024 season will set these players and the overall program to hit the ground running with a stronger entry as a potential 8U Travel Team in 2025. Please note, players on the 2024 7U Development Team are not guaranteed a spot on the 2025 8U Travel Team. All players must go through the standard tryout process, including coaches.
In order to try-out for the 7U Development Team, you must already be registered for the HHMBA House League program for 7U. This team is only for players who are born in 2017 (turning 7 in 2024). There will be no additional costs to register for the 7U Development Team above the house league fees.

Please register using the same player saved from the original house league registration. The fee should be $0 at the end.
Registration for House League and the 7U Development Team will close on April 10th, 2024
We will also be looking for 3-4 volunteer coaches for the 2024 7U Development Team. Coaches need to be dedicated to the development and mentorship of each player on the team and have a greater knowledge base of the game as a whole. As such, we will be conducting coach interviews towards the middle to end of April however we will not be naming the Head Coach until after the first tryout has been completed. From there, the Head Coach, along with their assistant coaches and the support of HHMBA Board, will select players from the remaining registrants for the 7U Development Team.
